Pool Buying Process
Overview The pool buying process is broken up into three phases. Contact your local Surfside store to start the process now.
Phase 1: Free On-Site Consultation, Assessment and Estimate This is a low key meeting at your home planned around your schedule. We first need to make sure that, with town zoning, the shape and size being considered will fit.
- Consultation - A representative from Surfside Pool Company will set up a meeting with you at your home to assess and consider the following points relative to your project:
- The style of pool you prefer (Freeform, Natural, Vinyl, Gunite, Fiberglass)
- Expectations of the pool
- Features you would like to incorporate (Waterfall, Planters, Diving board, Slide, etc.)
- Available Area and Pool Placement
- Solar exposures
- Privacy issues
- Landscaping and patio planning
- Permit Restrictions or Conservation Limitations
- Presentation - Next, we’ll sit down with you and discuss in detail the construction and installation process for the type of pool you are interested in. We’ll give you some ideas for pool options, such as colored lighting, water features, chlorine generators, or automatic cleaning systems. We’ll help you pick the options that are right for you and your family, and offer suggestions for products that will eliminate some of the maintenance throughout your swimming season.
- Estimate - Lastly, we will put together an estimate for the pool(s) you are considering. We take into consideration the overall cost of your project including:
- Your pool and its options
- Decking
- Fencing
- Electrical costs and other outside costs that factor into the project
We have creative financing programs available, and we will discuss them with you in detail if interested.
Phase 2: Finalizing your Project Once you have made the decision to go ahead with your pool project, we will take the steps necessary to start your pool installation.
- Finalize Contract – Your representative will come back out to your house to sit down with you and finalize your pool size, shape, and options.
- Building Permit Application - All you need to do is provide us with a certified plot plan of your property, and we’ll do the rest. We will file all of the necessary paperwork with your local building department to get your building permit underway.
- Dig Safe - We will contact Dig Safe to ensure that any underground utility lines do not interfere with the pool placement.
Phase 3: Installation Begins! After obtaining a building permit and contacting Dig Safe, we are ready to start building your pool! View the installation steps here.
